CBS correspondent Lara Logan rushed to hospital in ambulance
It's trending so here goes.. CBS correspondent Lara Logan was rushed in an ambulance Wednesday to a Washington D.C. hospital with internal bleeding.
The 43-year-old foreign affairs correspondent has digestive diverticulitis, reports Page Six. The condition could have been aggravated by stress.
She's expected to remain in the hospital for several days to recover.
'We wish Lara a very speedy recovery,' a CBS spokesperson told Page Six on Thursday.
And so do we!
Diverticulitis, according to the NIH website, occurs when when pouches, called diverticula, form in the colon and then become inflamed.
The last few years have not been completely kind to the South Africa native.
In 2011, she was sexually assaulted and beaten in Tahrir Square, Cairo, Egypt, while covering the Arab Spring.
Then, in 2013, she was forced to take a 7-month leave of absence after admitting her report on the attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, was based on a discredited first-hand account.
And last year she was quarantined in South Africa after reporting from the Ebola hot zone in Liberia.
